In this foundational session, Eliza Kingsford kicks off the Master Your Weight Loss (MYWL) Workshop by reframing why traditional weight loss methods often fail — and what’s actually at the root of the struggle. If you’ve ever felt like food controls you, like you’re constantly starting over on Mondays, or like willpower just isn’t enough… this session will explain why.


Using analogies like the “leaky bucket” and “NFL tryouts,” Eliza introduces the first of three core fundamentals for sustainable change: Mastering Your Nervous System.

  • The real reason willpower fails (hint: it’s not your fault)
  • How nervous system states impact eating decisions — often unconsciously
  • What executive functions shut down when you're dysregulated

  • How to begin rewiring your brain-body connection for real change
